Connecticut Blood Center (CTBC) is the primary supplier of blood and blood products to patients being cared for in over a dozen Connecticut hospitals. We operate a hospital services blood storage depot from our Connecticut center so we can quickly and reliably get urgent or unexpected orders to local hospitals.
CTBC is operated by the Rhode Island Blood Center, a division of New York Blood Center — a national organization with multiple operating divisions known collectively as New York Blood Center Enterprises. CTBC and its partners have over six decades of experience saving lives by ensuring a safe and plentiful blood supply to the patients and hospitals we serve.
Donations made at CTBC are tested and processed at our sister blood center’s state-of-the-art laboratory in Providence at Rhode Island Blood Center.
As a division of NYBCe, we are part of a network that is internationally recognized for its high humanitarian impact, including lifesaving blood products, specialty pharmaceuticals, and high-quality clinical, technical, testing, and consultative services for healthcare providers and patients.
